Description
Sewage Treatment
Sewage covers domestic sewage and some industrial wastewater, which needs to remove micropollutants (PPCPs), odors and disinfection by-product precursors. Activated carbon plays a key role in tertiary treatment to ensure that the effluent meets reuse or stringent discharge requirements.
Adsorption Targets
micropollutants, sensory indicators, disinfection by-product precursors, sedimentation pollutants
Application Scenes
deep treatment unit, emergency treatment system, reclaimed water treatment
Treatment Technology
PAC direct addition method, GAC filter, BAC technology, advanced oxidation-AC combination, coagulation-AC combination
Clarkson Activated Carbon Series
CKC-MS-TCLR, CKC-MS-CHTC
Case
A municipal wastewater plant deep treatment
Requirements: secondary effluent COD 85 mg/L, needs to be reused for industrial cooling.
Solution: adopt GAC filter, activated carbon dosage 100 g/m³, contact time 30 minutes.
Effect: COD decreased to 18 mg/L, phenols decreased from 0.1 mg/L to 0.005 mg/L, reaching the reuse standard.
Tap Water Purification
Raw water is polluted by agriculture or industry, with risks of pesticide residues, algal toxins and disinfection by-products. Coagulation, precipitation, filtration and other conventional processes are difficult to effectively remove these substances. Activated carbon safeguards the safety and taste of drinking water through adsorption and catalytic action, and meets WHO and national drinking water hygiene standards.
Adsorption Targets
natural organic matter (NOM), synthetic organic matter, color and odor, disinfection by-product precursors, heavy metals, emerging pollutants
Application Scenes
pre-treatment stage, deep treatment stage, emergency treatment
Treatment Technology
Ozone-AC process, BAC technology, PAC dynamic adsorption, ultrafiltration-AC combination
Clarkson Activated Carbon Series
CKC-TW-TCLR, CKC-TW-CHTC
Case
Deep treatment of a waterworks in Shaanxi province
Requirements: the raw water is polluted by algae and has a significant odor, which needs to meet the new national standard.
Solution: ozone-AC advanced treatment, equipped with 20 tons/hour ozone generator and 320 m3 AC filter.
Effect: COD removal rate 95% min, and the concentration of MIB and geostinin fell below the detection limit.
